Hoodia 1000mg
Am I taking too many vitamins, supplements and meds?
First of all, I’m a 21 year old female, 5′2″, 150 lbs (overweight). I am taking 2 capsules of 1200mg Flax Oil, 1000mg Vitamin C, 600mg Calcium, 400IU Vitamin E, Vitamin B Complex, 2 capsules of Blue Green Algae, 2 capsules of 500mg of pure Hoodia, 75mg of Effexor (for anxiety) and one Yasmin birth control pill. That’s 12 different pills. Not all are taken at the same time though. Am I being overzealous?
I am considering gradually going off the Effoexor, but I am SCARED that I’ll freak out or something without it…Lol! I do see a psychotherapist regularly. I will talk more to her about that.
I take individual pills so that I will absorb enough of the vitamin. Daily vitamins all thrown into one pill are less effective because your body doesn’t absorb everything.
Personally I’d switch to a multivitamin with EGCG 32mg. I’m 25 and overweight and have had some luck with just the One A Day pills for weight controll. The weight comes off slowly but it’s healthier that way. I’ve lost 50lbs in the past 6 months with the combo of the vitamin and eating right. If you want to take something else for the weight controll, I had good luck with Farenheit and Accellis recently. Of course not both at the same time. As far as the Effexor talk to your doctor about getting off of it. It’s not the best of medications to be taking and with all the other things you take, there could be an interaction that you are unaware of. Plus some herbal medications tend to reduce the effectiveness of birth controll pills. (I’m a pharmacy technician btw)
